We’re excited to announce our latest design collaboration with our friends at CSF on their new high-performance radiator for the BMW E28 M5 (and E24 M6/635CSi) - available now on our website. Here's an overview from the team at CSF:
"The CSF radiator features a 1-Row 31mm aluminum core that improves heat dissipation and CSF’s exclusive B-Tube technology increases the heat transfer by approximately 15% over regular oval welded tubes. With ~35% more cooling fins, the new CSF radiator will outperform the OEM unit by a significant margin. In addition, the super-efficient multi-louvered fins maximize airflow through the core for the best possible performance. The radiator mounts in the factory location and requires no modifications or cutting."
Taking originality into account, CSF partnered with Austin Caccavo, founder of A/C Solutions, and his E28 M5 to use as a test mule to help develop a seamless plug-and-play part. With his extensive experience in air conditioning systems and engine bay packaging, Austin understands the importance of high-quality, reliable, factory-looking parts for vintage BMWs, and this new radiator is no exception as it is designed to work with all the factory hoses, fan shrouds, and temp sensors and significantly outperform the OEM unit without sacrificing the OEM look and feel.
